Welcome to Quali Middle East Association – the only such association in the region to assure quality standards in the architectural aluminium finishing industry. Our association comprises members drawn from the entire value chain of the powder coating and anodizing industries – coatings manufacturers, surface treatment chemicals suppliers, applicators and equipment/laboratory services providers to the industry – all united with the single objective of ensuring high quality standards for the finishing of architectural aluminium used mainly in the construction sector.
QMEA is not-for-profit and is professionally managed by a Board of experienced persons from the finishing industry. The Board is supported by a Working Committee of knowledgeable and experienced persons representing all aspects of the powder coating and anodizing fields.
QMEA is the general licensee in the Middle East and South Asia of globally respected quality labels in this field – QUALICOAT, QUALIDECO, QUALANOD and QUALISTEELCOAT – all of them based in Zurich, Switzerland. QMEA enforces the specifications and testing procedures of these quality labels, ensuring compliance by all members through rigorous audits and independent third-party testing.
Set up in 2006, the association now comprises 73 full members drawn from 9 countries in the Middle East (Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates) and 10 associate members from 6 countries (Germany, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Turkey and United Arab Emirates). With the addition of South Asia region under QMEA umbrella in 2020, 4 companies have already joined the association from India and Sri Lanka.
