As a representative of QUALICOAT in the Middle East, QMEA and its members have been committed to maintaining the highest quality of Architectural aluminium and developing powder coating technology in the region for several decades. Thus, majority of iconic projects in the Gulf are using powder coated aluminum of the highest standards. Burj Al Arab, Masdar City, Louvre Abu Dhabi, Bahrain Financial Harbor, King Abdulaziz International airport to name just a few.
Booming Egyptian construction sector has been exploring powder coating technology and expressed interest in elevating its quality and durability. Already a number of high profile projects such as Grand Egyptian Museum, Al Mazaa City Centre and Cairo international airport are using high durability architectural powder coatings for long lasting and attractive appearance.
Following this interest, QMEA organized a seminar in Cairo on 14.01.2018. The event brought together more than 200 participants including architects, fabricators, construction companies, powder coating, chemical pretreatment, equipment suppliers and applicators most of whom were from Egypt but also included participants from the Germany, Greece, Italy, Jordan, KSA, Lebanon, UK and the UAE.
Speakers were sharing experience of using QUALICOAT approved products and processes in various parts of the world and discussed the latest available technology. Event concluded with a lively panel discussion with many insightful questions and discussions. Several participants inquired about obtaining QUALICOAT licenses in the end of the event.
